From April 7 to 13, 2025, CHELEBI took part in 5VIE Design Week, presenting its latest furniture collection — a refined tribute to heritage, materiality, and timeless design. Held at Le Cavallerizze, Via Olona 6, Milan, the event offered visitors a journey through the cultural richness of Azerbaijan, where craftsmanship, tradition, and modern aesthetics came together in every detail of the exhibition.

At the heart of CHELEBI lies a deep reverence for local architecture and craftsmanship. From intricately woven textiles and sculptural ceramics to objects shaped by centuries of artisanal knowledge, each creation embodies the spirit of a land rich in culture and narrative.
Founded in 2013 by Aida Mahmudova—artist, cultural patron, and founder of YARAT Contemporary Art Space—CHELEBI was born from the desire to preserve and elevate Azerbaijan’s artistic legacy. Today, it stands as a platform where history, design, and storytelling converge.
The newly unveiled furniture collection features sculptural pieces handcrafted from solid oak by master artisans. Conceived by designer Alina Kvirkvelia, co-founder of Saga Bureau, each work draws inspiration from architectural elements—arches, cornices, and courtyards—echoing the rhythm of Azerbaijani design language while speaking fluently in a contemporary tone.
